An update from the Alameda/Oakland ferry website ( http://www.eastbayferry.com/headlines/rider_advisory_update.html ):
Rain Delays Alameda Main Street
Barge Project
Due to the poor weather forecast for this weekend, we will not begin the Main Street ferry barge refurbishment project tomorrow as expected. We made this decision based on concerns raised by Marine Express, Inc., the project contractor, that anticipated weather conditions would create dangerous working conditions at the dock. The project is now scheduled to begin the weekend of February 17, weather permitting.
